Northern Ireland

The Story So Far...

Young Life International began in Northern Ireland in 2010 when Craig Mawhinney started Young Life ministry in Bangor with one single group of 20 young people.

Thirteen years on, our staff team has now grown to include 22 full or part-time staff who lead multiple expressions of ministry which reach over 1000 young people weekly. Most of our ministries function in partnership with the local Church and we now have 16 active clubs as well as alternative Young Life ministries such University and Capernaum, a ministry for kids with special educational needs.

In Young Life International our vision is to see every young person in Ireland have an opportunity to hear about how much God loves them. In Young Life our team of staff and volunteers seek to enter the world of teenagers, meeting them where they are, rather than waiting for them to stumble across a program they could attend.
